Fall Harvest
The pumpkins are here. We grow them on the farm and they are big and beautiful. Fall mums ready now and available in a variety of sizes. We also have fancy pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks and bales of straw.
We have apples and man are they good! Varieties vary according to season. We carry a full line of fall decor, stop in and see us today!
How to pick the perfect pumpkin:
* The shape, color and size should be visually appealing to you.
* Make sure it's free from cuts, soft spots, bruises. The flesh should feel hard, and not give easily. Soft spots will cause a pumpkin to rot quickly.
* Make sure the stem is attached.
After you carve your pumpkin, save and roast the seeds.
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe:
1 1/2 T. butter
1 1/2 t. salt
2 c. pumpkin seeds
Cookie Sheet
Mix all ingredients with pumpkin seeds to coat. Bake at 250* for 2 hours or until crisp, stirring occasionally.
