Strawberry Traditions

Strawberry Season has ended for 2011. Hope to see you again next year!

The Johnson family has been growing strawberries in Hobart for over 50 years. We were primarily a "Pick Your Own Farm" until the 1990s. At that time ready picked berries became more popular as people had less time to spend picking in the field.

We currently farm over 400 acres and have 40 acres of strawberries ready to pick in 2009. The season usually starts early June and continues until the 4th of July. Join our mailing list for updates. Weather makes a big difference in the starting date and availability of berries during the season.

Every year we have a Strawberry Maddness. This year the Maddness will be Saturday June 18th and Sunday June 19th. We serve Fresh Strawberry shortcakes, have Meet and Greet with Strawberry Shortcake from 10am-4pm, and much more. See the Strawberry Madness Festival page for details. Don't miss it.
